At Royal parketi, wood flooring is manufactured by primarily using oak. The raw material, timber, is of European origin, and we ensure that the timber is of appropriate quality. Oak, lat.Quercus, is a deciduous tree; its wood is considered as one of the wood types of the highest quality. It is characterized by its long lifespan and hardness, making oak one of the most frequently used types of wood for flooring, accounting for over 86 % globally.
To a lesser extent, we also manufacture flooring using ash, beech, Siberian larch and exotic wood originating from Africa and Asia.
We use tree trunks from trees 70 to 120 years old, with a log diameter of 26 to 50 cm. Logging is carried out in certified forests in Europe, especially in the Pannonian plain, Slavonia and Slovenia. Timber is appropriately certified in terms of origin.
